Avocado Mask…For a Silky Smooth Face

Ingredients: 1/2 Avocado, 1 tsp. olive oil or sunflower oil (almond oil is great for dry skin, 2-3 drops)

Instructions: Place ingredients in a bowl and mash. Make sure to apply to your face and neck. Leave on for 10-15 minutes and rinse with warm water. Just wait until you take this off, your face will absolutely glow!

 

Get Glowing Skin By Eating High-Water Content Foods and Drinking Fresh Water

Ingredients: fruits, vegetables, pure drinking water

Instructions: Want your skin to glow? Get BOTH sources of water: from your foods first, drinking second.  High-water content foods which consist of only fruits and vegetables are the key to truly living to your highest potential.

Why? Our bodies are 70% water and of all the foods that are on this earth there are only two that will surpass anything in achieving natures best balance for your ultimate health, fruits and vegetables. Basically, we need to detoxify the inside of our bodies and the water content in fruits and vegetables is responsible for flushing toxic waste out of your system, keeping your skin hydrated and it is vital to help you to maintain your most desired body weight. By the way, when you increase your vegetable and fruit intake to make these high-water content foods a major portion of your day, you will not feel the need to naturally drink as much water as before. 

 

Coconut Oil Treatment for Dry Hair

Ingredients: Organic, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

Instructions: This feels so terrific! Gently warm the coconut oil and apply directly to your hair. Make sure to massage it into your scalp as well as the ends of your hair. Cover your head with a warm towel for at least one hour. Wash as normal.  Sometimes we sleep with coconut oil in our hair overnight and it looks and feels so great the next day!

Anti-Wrinkle Banana Mask

Ingredients: 1/4 Banana (that's it)

Instructions: Create your own creamy anti-wrinkle banana mask by simply mashing the banana until smooth and apply to your face and neck area. Relax for 15-20 minutes and rinse with warm water. Follow up with a cool water rinse. Doesn't it feel so good to know exactly what you’re putting on your skin? You'll look beautiful and refreshed!

 

Fresh Breath Natures Way

Ingredients: parsley, clove, fennel or anise seeds, basil, rosemary, thyme, coriander, wintergreen, cinnamon bark or for sweetness try cardamom seeds.

Instructions: Choose your favorite herb from above and chew well to allow your saliva to increase in your mouth.

 

Lemon Age-Spot Eraser

Ingredient: Lemon (and time!)

Instructions: Simply take a few drops of lemon juice and place it on your age spots. The trick is to do this consistently for 15 minutes a day for 6 weeks. Bye, Bye age spots!

Your Superfood for Hair…Eat Seaweed

Ingredients: Nori

Nori is one of our favorite sea vegetables and it is used all over the world. Take 1/2 to 1 whole avocado and add diced vegetables of your choice. We love onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes.

Instructions: Eat a seaweed snack which is good for your body and good for your hair! Place the Nori on a flat surface and add your avocado and diced vegetables and roll gently. There are many sources of sea vegetables for you to try and Nori is just one of our personal favorites.

Seaweed and Beauty: Seaweed is not only tasty to eat but the benefits of seaweed when it comes to beauty are endless. One of the great benefits of seaweed is having lusturous hair. If your hair is dry and brittle due to being overprocessed and/or by having an excess of the bad stuff in your body: meat, salt, or a shortage of minerals... by eating seaweed, over time, you will rejuvenate your locks! You'lll be getting plenty of protein, chlorophyll, carotenes, and complex carbohydrates which will not only stimulate your hair, skin, and nails, but also strengthen brittle, dry, lifeless hair. Seaweed is a vast topic, but listed here are a few of the other sea vegetables worth adding to your diet: Kelp, Wakame, Arame, and Dulse! ENJOY!

 

Quick Cucumber Eye Soother

Ingredients: 2 wafer thin slices of cucumber, 1 warm, damp, clean washcloth

Instructions: While reclining in the tub cover your eyes with cucumber slices and a warm washcloth and relax for 10 minutes. Your eyes will feel refreshed and soothed, preparing you for a night's rest. (Recipe courtesy of www.SpaIndex.com)

Note: You can purchase a $12.00 bottle of cucumber-look alike eye pads infused with cucumber extract and then kicked up with a list of chemicals.  Or, you can simply use a real cucumber. Even if you used a fresh cucumber each week, it would take a long time before you spent $12.00 on this simple and soothing treatment.

 

The Natural Secret to Dazzling White Teeth

Ingredients: Natural Baking Soda

Instructions: It's as simple as pouring a little Arm and Hammer Baking Soda (from the yellow box!) in the palm of your hand, and taking your wet toothbrush and covering it with the baking soda. If you have an electric toothbrush the scrubbing method enhances the procedure.  Keep consistent with this and you will see noticeable results over 2-3 months time. Arm and Hammer Baking Soda does not contain the ingredient fluoride.

 

Dry Skin Brushing

Ingredients: So Little Tools Needed For Such Big Results: 1 Natural Bristle Body Brush (with a long handle preferably for those hard to reach areas on your back) and 1 Natural Face Brush (you can purchase both of these at most Natural Markets).

Instructions: Make dry skin brushing a part of your everyday routine! Why, you might ask? Why not do something to aid your skin in eliminating over one pound of waste acids each day. Your skin is the largest organ and it is responsible for a quarter of the body's detoxification each day so it's not only important to your health to skin brush daily' but great looking skin is an added bonus! Skin brush for not only outward results but for an internal massage as well. It's simple: Dry brush your body before your shower.
