Meat Free
Meat Free. Do Those Words Conjure Up A Lot Of Feelings?
How do you feel about it? Are you like we used to be? Did you eat a piece of chicken thinking that you were getting the protein that you needed? Are beef tacos, bacon cheeseburgers or spaghetti with meatballs some of your favorite meals? They were ours! Talk about bad food combining and a bloated stomach! In our family beef WAS for dinner!!
Fortunately, while choosing to journey on our raw food diet we have become much more informed on this subject of meat, and we choose to absolutely NOT eat any type of meat or poultry. If it comes from an animal, we do not eat it.
Luckily for all of the vegetarians in the world there are wonderful websites like the HappyCow!
You can almost go anywhere today and feel comfortable and confident that you will be able to eat meat free!
HappyCow’s Vegetarian Guide provides a worldwide directory to vegetarian restaurants and natural health food stores, in addition to providing information on healthy cooking, vegetarian recipes, raw food living, travel, veganism, and more. Browse HappyCow's database with listing in over 95 countries.
We hope you realize that the nature of this entire site is based on your own personal beliefs about what feels right for you. You have got to trust your gut instinct and you will be on the path that you are supposed to be on!
If somebody would have told us five years ago to give up dairy from a cow, or cheeseburgers from the local fast food chain, we're not so sure we could have done it!
Each of us are in different places and we hope that you will find that throughout our site and our coaching programs we pride ourselves in meeting our clients where they are in their journey. Life experiences bring wisdom. The raw food lifestyle is a process and…
If you do still eat beef or chicken, or any meat for that matter, we would urge you to take the first step and to at least shop organic.
"Any meat or poultry that is not organic and kosher is incredibly
toxic!" (Natural Cures, Kevin Trudeau)
There is a big difference between conventional meats and poultry and organic meats and poultry. The cost may be higher for organic, but with the spread of growth hormones, antibiotics, and steroids running through the conventional meats and poultry, it is worth your health, and the few extra dollars it will cost you. It's disturbing to know that a study showed that eating larger amounts of red or processed meats could increase breast cancer risks by 60%. (Journal-Natural Cancer Institute–March 21, 2007) By the way, those processed meats include deli meat.
If you want to be in tip top shape inside and outside, meat should not be a part of your diet!
Why? Two reasons.
- The first being the suffering alone that's involved before the animal is killed is simply outrageous.
- The second being that the human digestive system was not made to digest another animals flesh. Humans are meant to be vegetarians. Cows do not even eat other meat. They eat grass and grains unless the cow is fed unnaturally by the farmer the ground up remains of other diseased cows.

A true story of a friend of ours
This page would not be complete unless we introduced you to our friends, Don and Dave. Don is a cancer survivor and we have asked Don to share with you something he shared with us the weekend this picture was taken in Twinsburg, Ohio, where the largest gathering of twins is held! (You can't imagine the fun we have!) Read about how excited we were to hear how a major change in Don's diet has brought him such positive results!
Dons Testimony! Incredible!
"Some things in life just need to be shared with others. My name is Don and I'm a hardworking, motivated shop teacher in Los Angeles, currently in my 37th year of my teaching career.
Usually at this stage of one's life retirement would be on the horizon. For numerous reasons it's not for me. I feel young and have non-stop energy. It would be impossible to say any one thing makes my circumstances possible. With that said, I give much of my health credit to my diet.
At 61, I have been on a red meat free diet for the past fifteen years, and more recently in the past two years have dropped all dairy and breads (except for Ezekiel 4:9). The number one item I’ve eliminated is sugar! This has been difficult because so many restaurant items and canned foods use sugar.
The results have been outstanding. My weight is down about 20 pounds. I feel better, my memory has improved and my last eye checkup had improved to nearly 20-20. Being an instructor I have a strong belief in sharing what I feel is good information. Question advertisements that profess that something does a body good! Do your own research. Don’t take my word for it…find out for yourself, while you can still make a difference in your health and how you feel." Enjoy every day of your life…Don R.
